Kate Grinalds:

VP of Philanthropy

With more than 20 years of fundraising experience, Kate has dedicated her career to improving the effectiveness and sustainability of nonprofits for the purpose of creating stronger communities. Although now a resident of coastal Georgia, Kate spent most of her career in Atlanta and got her start at the Alliance Theatre at the Woodruff Arts Center. Her path has taken her to many diverse organizations doing great work in the community. Over the years, Kate has held leadership positions at highly regarded institutions at both the local and national level including the Arthritis Foundation National Office, Hands On Network, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, and Meals On Wheels Atlanta.

Kate’s expertise includes all aspects of resource development including grants management, major gifts, capital campaigns, annual campaigns, direct mail, cause marketing, foundation and corporate relations, special events, volunteer management, outcomes evaluation, collateral development, and more. Kate joined the One Hundred Miles team in January 2017.

Kate is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BA in French. Outside of her work, Kate has served on the Board of Trustees for The Waldorf School of Atlanta (2013-17) and the Adelphia Foundation (current). She also enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling, local art, a good book, and the company of her family and friends. She recently moved to Savannah with her husband and their son where they are thoroughly enjoying the lack of traffic and immense beauty of their new hometown.
