2017 Spartini Winner: People’s Choice
Ocean Rooftop at Ocean Lodge, St. Simons Island
DRUMROLL please … this year’s ‘People’s Choice’ Spartini Winner honors the Spartini cocktail voted #1 all around. A very special congratulations goes to The Rooftop at Ocean Lodge on St. Simons Island!
“We were so excited to hear that we won. My grandfather was a local shrimper and crabber on the island, and my family grew up exploring outside. As a third generation resident on the coast it means a lot to protect it,” said Holly Hall, The Rooftop’s Bar Manager.
Their Sweet Tart Spartini proved the winning combination and ultimate beach cocktail. Go try it, say hello to its creator, Holly (shown here), and taste for yourself why it’s the people’s choice! We’re grateful to the Rooftop for participating two years in a row and for their continued dedication to our coast. Cheers to you!

And the winners are … One Hundred Miles’ members Rick and Sharon Hindery! Congratulations for dining and sipping on the most individual Spartini cocktails for our Georgia coast. They tried all 14 Spartinis in the Golden Isles! Their personal favorite? Blackwater Grill’s blueberry infused Spartini.
“We enjoy supporting our small businesses and the coast. This community is so charitable and giving, unlike any other place we’ve seen. We were happy to give back and had fun while doing it,” said Rick Hindery.
Join the Spartini Cocktails for our Coast – a coastal themed fundraiser celebrating the unique restaurants and natural resources across our 100-miles. For seven-weeks, we’ll partner with 19 restaurants up and down the coast to highlight the significance of coastal Georgia’s vast ecosystems. The event’s ‘Spartini’ namesake celebrates Spartina alterniflora, the prevalent cord grass found in our coast’s signature landscape: our salt marshes. To help celebrate, each of the 19 participating restaurants created their own coastal-inspired ‘Spartini’ cocktail that will only be available during the seven-week fundraiser. For every Spartini purchased, $1 goes directly to One Hundred Miles projects to protect our Georgia coast. This year’s participating restaurants are spread out across our coast. We encourage you to stop by and support all of these fantastic local businesses!
